KINGDOM OF GOD – PART TEN

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this vital Bible Study of the Kingdom of God. We are discovering that Jesus preached predominately the Kingdom of God/Heaven and repentance. If one needs the Kingdom of God, they must repent or turn from the kingdom of darkness completely. If they are born again and, in the Kingdom, but not walking in the fullness of the Kingdom, a change, repentance, is needed as well to walk in Kingdom of God ways. We are not waiting on God; God is waiting on us. Now, let’s review our anchor Scripture, a command from our King and Lord Himself.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Jesus told us the Kingdom of God was within us (Luke 17:21) and the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul told us the Kingdom of God was righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). All things manifested in the physical realm started in the spiritual realm. An idea, an imagination, became words, and actions, and the creation or manifestation of the idea, the thing imagined. This is how everything in our lives came about including our very existence. Let’s again ask ourselves if we are truly willingly and obediently doing the Lords command to seek first the Kingdom of God and the doing of things His way. Let’s move forward. I am sure you will recognize these Scriptures as part of the Beatitudes.
Matthew 5:3 (KJV)
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Let’s look at this in the New Living Translation of the Bible, to perhaps add a little clarity.
Matthew 5:3 (NLT)
3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
It is critical that we all understand our utter dependance upon Christ. In Him we have the same authority He has and in Him we are backed by the same Power that created all things. But without Him we have none of that. Further, without the knowledge of how the Kingdom of God works we will not see our delegated authority bring the manifestations of the Kingdom into our lives and the lives of those around us. Let us not be slack but be about the Masters’ business. We are commanded in Isaiah to rise and shine. Without Him and/or without the Truth of the Kingdom our light will not arise and shine.
Isaiah 60:1 (KJV)
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Back to our Matthew text, just a few verses later we find the following.
Matthew 5:10 (KJV)
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
It is well past time for each of us to examine ourselves and make the necessary changes to accomplish Kingdom business His way.
TAKE HOME:
- Are you experiencing persecution? If not, perhaps you are not walking in righteousness. This persecution is not having your head cut off etc. but pressure to let go of the Word.
- We all must recognize our utter dependance upon Him to walk in the fulness of the Kingdom of God, which is our first priority.
- Let’s make the conscious decision to walk as our Lord walked and to follow His command even into the greater things.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here with our study of the Kingdom of God next Saturday. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, and He cannot lie! God loves you; we love you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
