KINGDOM OF GOD – PART ELEVEN

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this vital Bible Study of the Kingdom of God. We are discovering that Jesus preached predominately the Kingdom of God/Heaven and repentance. If one desires the Kingdom of God, they must repent or turn from the kingdom of darkness completely. If they are born again and, in the Kingdom, but not walking in the fulness of the Kingdom, a change, repentance, is needed as well to walk in Kingdom of God ways. We are not waiting on God; God is waiting on us. Now, let’s review our anchor Scripture, a command from our King and Lord Himself.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We saw last weekend that the Kingdom of God/Heaven is ours already. Like everything else concerned with the Kingdom of God it is not automatic.
Matthew 5:3 (NLT)
3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Here is the second witness to our anchor Scripture and that the Kingdom is already ours.
Luke 12:31-32 (KJV)
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
For example, salvation was not automatic, each of us had a pivotal role. Likewise, we have a pivotal role in having all the Kingdom contains manifest spiritually and materially. It is like a table that is set with many good things, but we will have none of those good things if we don’t say something I’ll take some potato’s or prosperity. I hope we are all starting to see that the gospel, which is good news, is the good news about the Kingdom of God. We have already seen this in Matthew 4:23 and Mark 1:14-15 when Jesus connected the Kingdom of God and the gospel (the good news). Let’s look at two other places before we end for today.
Matthew 9:35 (KJV)
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Did you notice there is healing for every sickness and disease in the Kingdom. That is good news for sure.
Matthew 24:14 (KJV)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Did you notice that the preaching of the “gospel of the Kingdom” is a witness? Why? Because of what is in the Kingdom and is already ours for the taking by faith motivated of love.
TAKE HOME:
- All that the Kingdom of God is, already belongs to each child of God.
- The good news is the good news of the Kingdom of God made possible by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus for all who will worship Him.
- Our presence in the Kingdom is to be a witness to those still in the kingdom of darkness as well as those around us in the Kingdom of the Father’s dear Son. We are to shine like a bright light in a dreary world.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here with our study of the Kingdom of God next time. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, and He cannot lie! God loves you; we love you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
