THE KINGDOM OF GOD – PART SIXTEEN

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our study of The Kingdom of God. We have discovered that preaching the Kingdom of God and repentance was the central theme of Jesus’ Ministry. Everything for now and forever is in the Kingdom of God. Once one has entered the Kingdom of God it is vital that they do all things the Kingdom of God way. We all were or are well versed in the ways of the world, but we must by our will throw those aside and embrace The Kingdom of God and righteousness.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Are we actively, mindfully seeking after the perfect will of God? Why not? Is that preached in your Church, your small group, and you in your home? Are you confused as to why you are not living as Heaven upon the earth? Let’s once again review our anchor Scripture as we move forward.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Perhaps you are becoming weary of seeing this Scripture and even exclaim “I know it already!”. As you thought that or said, did you reflect upon your present spiritual/physical life? If we indeed know it, it will be manifesting in our lives. If we simply know about it, it will not. Let’s move back to the command of Scripture to bring Heaven into the earth.
Matthew 6:9-11 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
The tense of verse ten is aorist active which is to be continuous. This command was not for some future generation or age but for right now. For them when Jesus first uttered these words and for us some 2000 years later. Let me ask, who has obeyed this command? Let’s ask ourselves how much sickness is in Heaven, how much lack is in Heaven, how much strife is in Heaven, just how much of the curse is in Heaven. None! So, why does it exist in our lives? Dear ones, we are not near serious enough about the Word of God and how to live our lives. Moving forward.
Matthew 6:13 (KJV)
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
We can see here that we are to implore, even command the Father to not lead us into temptation but instead help us to avoid evil. As we will see when we pick this up this coming Saturday, God does not actively tempt anyone. Temptations come to us all whether they become a temptation or not is our choice. One may point to Jesus being led of the Holy Spirit to be tested of Satan. This is a very special case. Jesus had to pass the tests that Adam and Eve failed.
TAKE HOME:
- We must actively displace the thoughts, words, and ways of the world diligently replacing them with the thoughts, words, and ways of God.
- It is the will of God for us to have Heaven upon the earth, in our area of responsibility, our jurisdiction. It takes very careful obedience to the Word of God.
- Entering into temptation is a choice.
As the Lord directs, I will pick up right here with our study of the Kingdom of God next Saturday. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, neither is the devil, and He cannot lie! God loves you; we love you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
