EAT WHAT IS GOOD
Video link: https://youtu.be/Co4hjK0S8XA
Greetings dear and precious saints and welcome to July, the second half of the year. Also, welcome back to this insightful study of the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. It is so encouraging that you value these teachings enough to share.
God is so good to give us such a wonderful roadmap for our lives. A roadmap for an optimal life here and all that comes after here. Opposition comes but we are well equipped in Christ Jesus to repel him and recognize his deceptions. Prosperity in every arena of life is God’s idea. He’s very prosperous you know. He is our Daddy. Scripture says Jesus inherited it all and we are joint-heirs with Him. Awaken dear ones! Why does much of the Church gobble up the poverty suffering gospel? It is a false gospel! One taught to the Church by the world and one further perpetrated in many Churches. The fact that the devils people promote poverty in the Church especially among the clergy should tell us something.
The featured picture today is a reminder to pray for the Seven Mountains of our Culture. Remember prayer for the seven spheres or mountains of culture is not begging God to fix it. We have been given dominion and the power to back it. The first step is repentance by the Church for allowing things to deteriorate to this terrible state. The war is over, Jesus won, it is now our responsibility to occupy, be a dominating force in each mountain of our culture. The gates of Hell cannot keep the Church out of any area of any mountain.
Matthew 16:18-19 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:1-5 (ESV)
1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.
There is nothing in the world that can bring any kind of long-lasting satisfaction. Only a Kingdom of God life can bring lasting satisfaction, peace like a river. In the world we used to pursue things that felt good or we thought would be good for the moment but they were always fraught with problems.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Which end of that stick have we spent our lives on? I’m talking as a Christian. Have you been thinking that the stealing, killing, and destroying was all part of God’s mysterious plan and the life abundant was for the sweet bye and bye? I know that is what many in the Church as been taught, but is that the gospel? This chapter like the last is prophetic of the Messiah, the Christ. He is what is good and fatness for our souls. What is the reward of focusing, seeking first the Kingdom of God?
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Does this sound like poverty or overflowing abundance dear ones?
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
He has given us “all things that pertain unto life and godliness” here and now. Prosperity is a theme of the Scripture, so where is it in the Church?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here again tomorrow as we race towards Thanksgiving and Christmas (smile).

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
