MY WORD
Video link: https://youtu.be/YD4as47zmyg
Greetings dear and precious children of God and thank you for rejoining this illuminating Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good dear ones. He has given us His Book to guide our steps for health and prosperity in every arena of life so that we can have maximal effectiveness in our Kingdom of God work. Dear ones it is so important that we run our race until all given for us to do of the Father in the Kingdom of God is done.
Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for valuing these teachings enough to share them.
The featured picture today is of Donna and me in December 2023 as Christmas was nearing at Church.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:10-13 (KJV)
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
As we dive back into the Scripture today, we see that the Lord is connecting the 10th and 11th verses. You perhaps noticed that in verse ten, the seed is already in the earth, the ground. Remember, the seed is the Word of God, the ground is our heart. The seed determines the type of harvest, for example if you plant corn, you will get corn not apples. What about the ground. The ground determines the size of the harvest. What is the condition of my heart, your heart. Remember in the Parable of the Sower in the category with good ground some reaped 30 fold, some 60, and other 100 fold. This has to do with the condition of the ground. What if we have an unbelieving heart? What if there has been no rain? Remember rain is water and water in Scripture is the Word of God. A heart rich in Scripture will bring a bountiful harvest if we are prepared for a harvest. Are we looking for the harvest, how it will come, then are we willing to do what is necessary to bring in the harvest? The best harvest comes from rich healthy soil and requires continual watering.
We now come to the 11th verse and review it in the God’s Word translation. This translation is a balance of word-for-word and thought-for-thought, published 1995, reading grade level 4.5.
Isaiah 55:11 (GW)
11 My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.”
The Lord through His Prophet Isaiah says to us, to all, in the same manner as water brings forth a harvest in the natural so does my Word in the Spiritual. The original promise, Word of God, is already in the heart (ground) of the person and the Words above are the nourishing Words for the spirit man (the ground) that is preparing the harvest. These words must be received and believed to be of value to the ground (the heart). Like in the Parable of the Sower many will receive the Word initially but allowed other things to destroy a harvest. Let’s prepare our hearts to be the best ground they can be to bring forth abundant harvests for the Kingdom.
1 Corinthians 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Do I, do you, have ears to hear?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and you can’t do anything about either one.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
