BEFORE THE BEGINNING

Today we are launching into a new Bible Study series extracted from my book “Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Book II – God’s Road to Redemption”. We will be studying chapter six which is titled “Blood Line – Trail of Blood”. I am hoping to have a digitalized downloadable version of the book available soon (e-book). For those who like to read on their computers or other devices it will be inexpensive access to a rather lengthy book (464 pages). Now, to our study of the Blood.
There is an ongoing discussion concerning whether this earth, this known physical creation is young (6000 +/- years) or old (billions). It is my belief that there is overwhelming Biblical and archeological evidence to clearly conclude we live on an old earth that was renovated some 6000 years ago. We will review some of that briefly. Satan (Lucifer) rebelled and brought destruction to the creation of Genesis 1:1, or what one could call the age or era before Adam in the Book of Genesis. God gave the Prophet Jeremiah a look at the destruction that occurred on planet earth with Lucifer’s rebellion and being cast to earth. We see that God did not allow the destruction of the creation of Genesis 1:1 to be complete.
Jeremiah 4:23-27 (KJV)
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
God had a plan; you and I were at the center of that plan. After some period of time ʾElōhîm (pleural name of God) renovated the earth starting to be recorded in Genesis 1:3 performing many
creative acts. When all was prepared God placed man in the garden of Eden. But before long here comes Satan again. Satan wants to be in charge and be worshipped. Just as he did in the creation before this one, Satan again brought deception (1 Timothy 2:14), this time to mankind resulting in sin. So, there is no confusion, the creation prior to this which resulted in destruction of the creatures, the earth, and the fall of Lucifer was not of those like us made in the image and likeness of God and of like kind with God. Let’s look a little more at the fall of Lucifer, the covering cherub which many believe was also one of the Archangels.
Isaiah 14:12-17 (KJV)
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Can you see why it is so important to get the I (it’s about me) out of most equations and avoid pride like the plague. Perhaps you are thinking, “when do we get to the blood?” well it’s coming just not today, I am laying a foundation.
TAKE HOME:
- The physical creation in which we live is billions of years old but was updated some 6000 years ago and God placed one in His own image, likeness and of like kind here (first Adam then Eve).
- Lucifer the covering Cherub was lifted up in pride and the desire to be worshipped supplanting God and was thrown to earth. This brought great chaos to the earth.
- Pride must be avoided at all costs; it brings destruction when mature.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
