SENT OF GOD SPEAKING THE WORDS OF GOD

Greetings dear saints of God and others and welcome back to this exciting and revelatory study of The Trail of Blood from before the foundation of the world to the Mercy Seat of Heaven. Now, let’s get back on the trail. I will pick up once again today with Jesus, the Lamb of God, the One who shed eternal Blood for you and me. You remember that He told His disciples before His ascension that all power had been given to Him in Heaven and in earth, and then He instructed them to go in His name into all the earth.
Matthew 28:18-19 (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
The word “power” here is the Greek wordexousia – meaning privilege, capacity, competency, freedom, delegated influence, authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. This word has to do with dominion. The dominion God gave to mankind in the beginning (Genesis 1:26) was restored by the Cross, the stripping of Satan in Hell, and the Resurrection.
Luke 24:49 (KJV)
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
The word “power” used here is the Greek word dynamis (Dunamis) meaning force, specially miraculous power, ability, abundance, meaning, might, (worker of) miracle (-s), power, strength, violence, and might according to Strong’s. Let us look at this a little closer with another example that may help with our understanding.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
This is what we are to be doing as well. We have the same Anointing. The word “power” here is the same as in Luke 24:49. When Jesus was baptized (immersed) in the Holy Spirit, when He came up out of the Jordan River, that miracle working power came upon Him. The answer as to why we do not all have the same amount of power comes in the book of John.
John 3:34 (KJV)
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. [2]
Power comes with the Holy Spirit and is proportional to the Word we have in us and act upon. What do we know if the Power of God is not flowing through us? According to this verse we are either not sent or not speaking “the words of God”. When we are sent of God and are speaking what he gives us to speak we can see that we are equipped for to take dominion and occupy what darkness has occupied illegally. It is up to us to exercise dominion and occupy till He comes. We are the ones given dominion again on the earth and are commissioned to exercise dominion, take back from the enemy and occupy.
That is why we have armour – spiritual armour – praise the Lord. It is not just any old armour; it is the armour of the Lord. I do not mean to imply that we are islands unto ourselves, Lone Rangers if you will. We are indeed not Lone Rangers, but sons of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit of God. We are in Christ Jesus, and the power we have and use in Heaven and earth comes from the Throne. We take the actions and speak the words of God in faith, and God sees to it that it comes to pass.
Acts 17:28 (KJV)
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
TAKE HOME:
- Not only has dominion been restored by the Cross but we are endued with the very Power of God.
- Are you going where you are sent and saying what He tells you to say when you get there?
- We live and move and have our being in Christ Jesus.
