AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THE YOKE IS DESTROYED
Greetings precious brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to this dynamic and empowering Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. Before we move forward into today’s teaching, please remember to take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the good news, this empowering news. The featured picture today was taken in late spring back in Oakland, Maine, what we in South Texas would call a brutal winter.
A few weeks ago, Donna and I were watching a Christian program and the host was interviewing George Barna. Part of what he was sharing had to do with the age by which our world view is formed and how many born again Christians have a Biblical world view. Some of this I was aware of previously and some simply by observation. People form most of their worldview between the ages of 18 months and 13 years of age. Tell me if that does not highlight the importance of parents having a Biblical Worldview. Unfortunately, only one in ten born again Christians have a Biblical worldview. If that does not put the spotlight on a glaring failure by the Church, I don’t know what does. Why don’t people want to serve the Lord with a whole heart like they did the devil? Unfortunately, it seems that nine in ten born again Christians have fire insurance (perhaps) but still serve the devil. Why are people not seeing the tremendous upside here and now of wholeheartedly serving the Lord. Meditate upon the following.

9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
Is my heart completely His, is yours?
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Am I, are you, daily making a conscious effort to displace the thoughts of the devil (world) with the thoughts of God? Why are nine out of ten Christians not doing this? Is there no fear of the Lord, no honor of the holy things? Now, let’s turn our attention to the Book of Isaiah and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 10:27-29 (KJV)
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
Verse twenty-seven is a familiar verse to many that have been attending Church for some period of time. That is not to say this verse is a reality in their lives, just having heard or seen it on one or more occasions. I want to focus in on the word ‘anointing’ found at the end of verse twenty-seven. The word is not capitalized however I believe it would best be capitalized. The common interpretation is that this is referring to the Holy Spirit which is God. However, the following discussion may throw light on why it is not capitalized. The following is the definition of this Hebrew word. Grease, especially liquid (as from the olive, often perfumed); figurative richness, anointing, fat (things), fruitful, oil ([-ed]), ointment, olive, to shine, i.e. (by analogy) be (causative make) oily, or become (make, wax) fat according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. With this in mind let’s consider this same verse from Youngs Literal Translation, and the Complete Jewish Bible.
Isaiah 10:27 (YLT)
27 And it hath come to pass, in that day, Turned is his burden from off thy shoulder, And his yoke from off thy neck, And destroyed hath been the yoke, because of prosperity.
Isaiah 10:27 (CJB)
27 On that day his burden will fall from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck; the yoke will be destroyed by your prosperity.
The Holy Spirit has many functions in the life of a family member living by the laws of the Kingdom. Primary among them is prosperity, financially, and all other ways, followed by divine health. Look at this verse in Zechariah and see how the good news is spread.
Zechariah 1:17 (KJV)
17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
It is spread by prosperity, the goodness of God, manifest in our lives. We are not called to poverty and sickness but to be rich and healthy. Poverty and sickness is how the devil likes to treat his children along.
Psalm 35:27 (KJV)
27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. (Bold added)
Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Wow, when did you last hear that at Church?

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
