ARE DEMONS CAUSING HAVOC IN YOUR LIFE DUE TO IGNORANCE?

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. A short while ago we received a prayer request here at the Ministry that involved people practicing the occult, and demons were wreaking havoc in this person’s life. We responded to that prayer request, but I was also quickened to do a brief teaching concerning Christians and demons. This study will by no means be definitive. This study will give a good foundation for ordering our thoughts concerning demons. You will also come away knowing without a doubt that you have total dominance over demons. Dominance comes with total submission to God and a lack of agreement with darkness.
James 4:7 (KJV)
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
There is way too much fear of and concern about demons in the body of Christ. I am not suggesting a cavalier attitude but an understanding of our authority in Christ Jesus. Fear is not of God it is a tool of the wicked ones.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Fear is a lack of faith in God, in the Word of God, and so by extension a lack of Godly love (agapē/Agapaō). Dear ones we are sons of God and are to never act or appear as beggars. Just as demons obeyed Jesus, they must obey us for we have His delegated authority back by the Holy Spirit just as Adam in the Garden before sin.
The devil and his angels or demons have not always existed according to Scripture. These are all created beings in the angel class. The one we call Satan, or the Devil was named Lucifer at his creation and apparently many angels were under his authority. Sin was found in Lucifer and he along with his angels were cast out of Heaven.
Ezekiel 28:15-16 (KJV)
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
The covering Cherub is none other than Lucifer or the dragon referred to in the next Scriptural reference. We will see that Michael the warring archangel and his angels defeated Lucifer and his angels casting them out of Heaven.
Revelation 12:4 (KJV)
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
The dragon is the one who was called Lucifer, we now call the Devil or Satan. In the Garden of Eden, we saw him referred to as the Serpent. The woman is the Jewish people and the child to be delivered is that people and ultimately Christ Jesus.
Revelation 12:7-10 (KJV)
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Jesus commented on this to His disciples.

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
TAKE HOME:
- Demons are causing havoc in people’s lives due to ignorance. The only real authority and power they have is what is given them by a man/woman.
- The devil and his fallen angels are created beings and inferior to man, even fallen man.
- Submitted to God, casting down imaginations contrary to God, refusing fear, instead exercising our God given power, love, and disciplined mind we trample on these evil spirits.
