THE WORD OF GOD CRUSHES THE DEMONIC ACTIVITY IN YOUR LIFE

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. A short while ago we received a prayer request here at the Ministry that involved people practicing the occult, and demons were wreaking havoc in this person’s life. We responded to that prayer request, but I was also quickened to do a brief teaching concerning Christians and demons. This study will by no means be definitive. This study will give a good foundation for ordering our thoughts concerning demons. You will also come away knowing without a doubt that you have total dominance over demons.
The purpose of these teachings is to establish the child of Gods’ absolute supremacy over demons, in fact all created beings. This exercise of authority over demons and other created beings is by the words of our mouth not begging God to do something about them. Yes, we talk to God about all things but in the end we must speak, we must give Him jurisdiction in our jurisdiction. I will now move forward into a passage of Scripture that I hope you are somewhat familiar with. It is in the Old Testament but remember, the “Old Testament” has not passed away.
Psalm 91:9-13 (KJV)
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Doesn’t this sound a lot like what Jesus said in Luke 10:19?

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Back to Psalm Ninety-One. Please note the qualifiers for verses ten through thirteen. Read verse nine of Psalm 91 carefully. Do you meet that criteria. Don’t be too quick to say, “oh yeah”. Have you made Jesus Lord, the one of highest authority in your life? Is He the Word of God your habitation, your dwelling place? Do you live by the Word of God or a hodgepodge of words. What did Jesus say?
Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
So, what are we to live by? Every, yes, every, Word from the mouth of God. Perhaps someone just thought, “that’s impossible Dr. Wood”. If that was you, you just told God that He was unjust. Perhaps one thought, “well I don’t know all the Word of God”. That is likely true for all of us but are you walking in the light you do have and pushing forward everyday in His Word for more light? In addition to our demon stomping ability dwelling in the Word of God let’s look at what else is in the package.
Psalm 91:14-16 (KJV)
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Do you want any of this? If so, dwell in the Word!
TAKE HOME:
- There is huge benefit to dwelling in the Word of God. Demons and their attempts to be active in your life will be crushed. Keep on the full armor of God and stay on assignment.
- If you love the Lord (staying on assignment doing as told) He will be your rearguard, your Deliverer, the One who lifts you up, honor you, the One to give you a long and satisfying life.
- Walking in our God given authority nothing can by any means harm us. Do you believe that?
