WHEN WE LACK WISDOM FOR A SITUATION GO TO GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. A short while ago we received a prayer request here at the Ministry that involved people practicing the occult, and demons were wreaking havoc in this person’s life. We responded to that prayer request, but I was also quickened to do a brief teaching concerning Christians and demons. This study will by no means be definitive. This study will give a good foundation for ordering our thoughts concerning demons. You will also come away knowing without a doubt that you have total dominance over demons.
I am hopeful that these teaching concerning you, God, and demons is solidifying who you are and your authority in Christ Jesus. Demons have no real authority over any person other than what that person gives them. When it comes to the Christian our authority and the Power to back it up is way out of their reach. Demons are very real and their skill at trickery is well honed over thousands of years tricking people. If you are thinking you can’t be fooled by demons, think again, you are likely already deceived. You are in pride which is sin and opens the door to demons. Stay with all humility at the Throne of God and in the Word of God not compromising one little bit. Let’s move forward to another Scripture.
James 1:5-8 (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
In all things let’s inquire of the Lord, ask for His wisdom for the circumstance if it is not clear to us in the Word of God. Look, this is an all-day job dear ones. It would be one thing if we could see in the spirit, non-material, realm and see who is talking but we can’t so we walk in the light we have leaning always to the Wisdom from on High.
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
There is no place or time to let our guard down dear ones. Let’s go back to the Book of James.
James 4:6-10 (KJV)
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Only you and I can decide it we want more grace from God or resistance from God Himself. Do you walk in pride, religious pride? To whom are you submitted? Are you submitted to the uncompromised Word of God, or the traditions of your denomination corrupted by the doctrines of demons? Is the cry of your heart to be ever closer to God? How does one get closer to God since God the Holy Spirit resides within. We get closer by being more and more like Him in thought, word, and deed. Humility comes before lifting up in the Kingdom of God and is a potent antidote to being lion food.
TAKE HOME:
- When we lack wisdom for a situation, we must always go to God first and foremost. That is not to say we can’t draw on others, but it must be supported by the Word of God.
- We have adversaries, the devil and his bunch, so we must be ever vigilant so as to not be devoured.
- Did you see that pride is to be resisted at all costs, it can cost you your life, always stay close to God, continually cleansing our hearts with the Word of God walking in all humility.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
