THE KINGDOM OF GOD – PART FIFTEEN
A DAY OF INFAMY

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and todays Bible Study. Today is the 83rd Anniversary of that awful attack on Pearl Harbor catapulting us (America) into a Second World War. The Emperor of Japan (as was Hitler) was a fool, a heathen, a pawn and a spawn of Satan, attacking a Covenant nation. On that day in 1941 President Franklin Delano Roosevelt declared that day would live in infamy, 2403 persons were killed and another 1178 wounded at Pearl Harbor. Where were God’s people? Do these great wars need to be? Before anyone start spouting off Matthew 24, careful observation will reveal that Jesus said we would have wars not that they are the will of God, nor ordained of God. Don’t get what happens confused with the will of God. Before I plunge back into our study of the Kingdom of God let’s look at war or peace for a nation. These following passages are about King Solomon.
1 Kings 4:24-25 (KJV)
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. (Bold added)
Why?
1 Kings 3:12-14 (KJV)
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
Proverbs 16:7 (NKJV)
7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
I wonder if putting the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things first still pleases God and would get the same result today?
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Last Sunday in our discussion of the Kingdom of God I left off with the following passage. Here we find that Jesus is commanding us to command Heaven, the will of the Father, upon the earth.
Matthew 6:9-11 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Heaven upon the earth has been the will of God from the Garden of Eden and He made a way following the coming of the curse in the earth.
Deuteronomy 11:18-21 (KJV)
18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
TAKE HOME:
- War, the absence of peace, is the result of disobedience, not doing life God’s way.
- We are to be about the business of the Kingdom of God doing it exactly as instructed.
- It is the will of God for us to have Heaven upon the earth.
As the Lord directs, I will pick up right here with our study of the Kingdom of God tomorrow. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, neither is the devil, and He cannot lie! God loves you; we love you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
