GRACE AND PEACE ARE MULTIPLIED THROUGH DIVINE KNOWLEDGE

Welcome back to these exciting and enlightening teachings about the highest level of knowledge and Divine Truth. Just as you are going nowhere in this natural realm without knowledge, so it is in the spiritual realm as well. The things we observe in this natural realm give us great insight into the spiritual realm.
Romans 1:20 (AMP)
20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],
I will now move forward talking about how Grace and peace is multiplied in our lives. Attaining this highest level of knowledge is essential. Just look at the following passage, given what I have discussed thus far.
2 Peter 1:2-3 (KJV)
2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Grace and peace are multiplied to us through the knowledge (epignōsis) of God (The Father) and Jesus our Lord. The reality of Grace and peace being multiplied to us is not by knowledge alone but also by obedience to the Word. As we grow in knowledge, acquire understanding (revelation), wisdom which is obedience seems to become easier, but we are still plagued with deceptions. Why? We fall into deception due to human, earthly, and sensual reasoning forgetting to apply the Word of God. As I previously noted, God calls this wisdom.
At the first of our Christian walk we only have temporal and fragmentary knowledge, and we are still filled with the ways of the world. As we pursue the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in us, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward us, we are compelled to obedience. His great love and sacrifice for us compel us to please Him. This high-level knowledge of Him is the key to all things that pertain to life and godliness. Praise the Lord! He has called us into all that is good and excellent, praise the Lord.
All that Grace is and all that defines peace (if that is possible) are multiplied by this higher level of knowledge. As we review again the definition of knowledge it should be obvious why; a clear and exact knowledge, the acquiring of which requires a more thorough participation of the individual, which in turn brings about changes in the persons religious or Christian life. The foregoing passage in 2nd Peter also tells us that this knowledge is the key to His provision of everything that pertains to our lives and every expression of godliness through us. Inherent in the acquiring of this more unified and comprehensive knowledge comes understanding with which we honor God resulting in a walk of wisdom. Can you see that there is absolutely no substitute for this level of knowledge?
When we are born again, we enter a process of being transformed from the image and likeness of our former daddy, Satan, to our new daddy, The Father and His Son Jesus, the Christ. The high purpose of Godly knowledge is to cleanse us from the world system. We are commanded in Romans 12:2 “be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” … Peter, by leadership of the Spirit puts it a different way.
2 Peter 2:20 (KJV)
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
He says that we escape the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These pollutions of the world are the curse, the things or ideas that keep us in the ways of the world.
TAKE HOME:
- We get glimpses into the supernatural from observing and understanding the natural world.
- The operation of Grace and the reality of peace comes to us in this life by acquiring and living His Divine knowledge.
- Abandoning this knowledge to return to the ways of the world will result in your end being worse than your beginning.
