KINGDOM OF GOD – PART SIX
DO WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE BLESSING IS WITH US, IN US, TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THE WILL OF GOD IN SUBMISSION TO OUR AUTHORITY?

Greetings precious saints of God and others and welcome back to this wonderful Bible Study of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of Heaven as we see in the Book of Matthew is synonymous with the term Kingdom of God. This term comes up 163 times in the New Testament, 55 times in Matthew alone. This was a huge part of the teachings of Jesus, even looking like the main focus. With that in mind, surely, we want to know what Jesus taught and thought was important. Let’s move to our anchor Scripture spoken by the Master Himself.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
I think many Christians are familiar with this Scripture and many may even be able to quote it. The question is this. How many of us have really understood this Scripture and given it place in our thinking? By understanding I mean having revelation, light, and then implementing as the command that it is. This command is directed at all people not just a select group like the preachers.
Yesterday I left off speaking about God’s original intent concerning the Kingdom of God. This is where I will pick up and we will move forward.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Some discovered perhaps for the first time that God’s original intent was for mankind to rule, have dominion, over all created things relative to the earth including the earth itself. The Lord then went on to tell His man that that authority (dominion) would be backed by Heaven so long as it was exercised in accordance with the will of God.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
This concept of the “blessing” more properly with a capitol “B” since we are talking about the Holy Spirit was confusing to me at first. The primary meaning is to kneel. Then the light came. We are blessed, empowered to accomplish the will of God in our submission (kneeling) before Him. And what are we empowered to do? Remember, we are talking about the Kingdom of God, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We are empowered to oversee and make the earth as Heaven upon the earth. Looking back at Genesis 1:28 we find that we are empowered to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish the earth, and subdue the earth. These are four of the seven eternal mandates or commands given to man, to us.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here with our study of the Kingdom of God next Saturday. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, and He cannot lie! God loves you; we love you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
