ANOTHER DAY OF INFAMY

Welcome to part seven of our new Bible Study series extracted from my book “Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Book II – God’s Road to Redemption”. We will be studying chapter six which is titled “Blood Line – Trail of Blood”. I am hoping to have a digitalized downloadable version of the book available soon (e-book). For those who like to read on their computers or other devices it will be inexpensive access to a rather lengthy book (464 pages). Now, to our study of the Blood. I am spending time talking about Blood Covenant, but I have not forgotten we are studying The Trail of Blood from the Garden to the Throne.
Twenty-four years ago today, some of Satan’s people attacked this Covenant nation known as America, a Christian nation. We held open the door to Satan by our descent into debauchery (wickedness, corruption). I am not talking about the heathen; I am talking about the Church. On that awful day some 2996 people died. As terrible as that number is, it is a miracle, it was the mercy of God, that many more did not die. We should never be so foolish as to think this was the first terrorist attack on this nation, nor will it be the last. Satan and his people have been attacking America from before there was a United States of America. Research the Barbary Wars. Satan is the original terrorist and his activities against mankind started in the Garden of Eden continuing to this day and will continue to the last day. How much success Satan enjoys quite simply depends upon the Church. We, the body of Christ, the Church, have not taken the spiritual steps necessary to stop the spiritual acts of Satan which led to physical events. Nothing happens in the natural, material world, that does not have a spiritual origin. Nothing!
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Is our land healed? The abundantly obvious answer is a resounding NO! Why? Look children of God, this is not rocket-science. Read the verse. I hear people in many places talking about praying for our nation but that alone is not the pivotal action required for the healing or our land. What about humility? What about turning from our wicked ways?
Let’s pick up our discussion of Blood Covenant, with other major elements of this Covenant with our Heavenly Father. A Blood Covenant (I am capitalizing because we are addressing Covenant of Divine origin) is perpetual, indissoluble, and must be honored past the death or tenure of the original parties. Breaking a blood covenant can lead to the death of the covenant breaker. It has been reported that the family of the covenant breaker may cause the death of that person – to honor the covenant and restore the covenant. In Islam this is called honor killings. Just as the blood covenant with the Father through the blood of Jesus is forever, so can it be between persons, tribes, or nations. When one President of the United States makes a covenant with another nation, that covenant is valid and binding on the next President.
No covenant should ever be broken, ever! A blood covenant is not one that you can just decide later is no longer desirable. Using marriage as an example, we are married, as the vow says, for better or for worse, no matter what the circumstances. Between families, tribes, and nations, the agreement is honored past the death of the original makers to the third and fourth generations. This kind of covenant is so serious that when one party breaks the covenant, the party who broke the covenant may be killed by his own house. For example, the chief of a weaker tribe makes a blood covenant with a stronger tribe; but in the passage of time, he decides that it would be more advantageous to make a covenant with another tribe – and in the process break covenant with the first. This is much like a man or woman running off with another man or woman because they are wealthier, prettier, or sexier. In some cultures, the family of the covenant breaker may kill the person breaking the covenant.
Paul tells us that the wages of sin is death, and so we see here that the sin of breaking blood covenant is death.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Could it be that repudiating the blood of Christ after having accepted its redemptive work would also lead to death; just as in the garden it was spiritual death first, then physical death followed? Scripture makes it clear that when the blood of Christ is trampled underfoot, there remains no further provision for forgiveness (Hebrews 10:26-27). The rejection of the blood of Christ, or the subsequent rejection of the blood of Christ, is the unforgivable sin. It is the sin unto death spoken of by the Apostle John (1 John 5:16).
TAKE HOME:
- Today is the 24th Anniversary of 9/11, let us not forget, and let us not forget where true security comes from.
- Blood Covenant is perpetual, there will never be a time we will not be in Blood Covenant with our Heavenly Father.
- Breaking Blood Covenant is sin and sin unrepented leads to death, spiritual and physical.
