NO PRENUPS IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Welcome back to the trail of blood that started in Heaven and ends in Heaven. Jesus is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world and with His Resurrection He took His very own Blood to the Mercy Seat of Heaven. In the mind, the reality of God, existence without time, the Redemption had already occurred when He breathed of Himself into the body of Adam. I will continue teaching today from my book, Awake, Arise, and Triumph, Book II, God’s Road to Redemption, chapter six. I left off last week talking about Blood Covenant so that is where we will pick up today.
Now let’s consider other important points concerning blood covenant. First, the blood covenant gives equal access to assets. In other words, each party owns what the other owns, and vice versa. This is what happens to each of us when we are born again, enter the Kingdom of God. This is sometimes symbolized by the exchange of coats, weapons, etc. In marriage, which is a blood covenant, this is also true; there are no prenuptial agreements in God’s kingdom. When two are joined, they become one and have equal access to all assets.
Another crucial aspect of Blood Covenant is the law of reciprocal actions. This means what one is willing to do; the other must be willing to do as well. This is a fundamental principle concerning our salvation as you will see in a later teaching.
Another critical nonnegotiable aspect of blood covenant is mutual defense. Each party must be willing to defend the other with all of the assets at their disposal. For example, between nations it means that both commit all to the defeat of a common enemy. The enemy is always a common enemy due to the blood covenant. Your enemy is my enemy.
Next, the parties to Blood Covenant are obligated to always talk well of each other. Our speech is to edify the other, to be gracious in nature. They are to honor each other. In a marriage, each party is to honor the other; meaning that they do all in their power not to bring any kind of offense to the other. They never speak badly of the other before anyone, even in their circle of friends. If you have a problem with one another, it is a topic for the prayer closet and private discussion with the other. Now, I am not talking about an abusive circumstance. That needs to go very public and quickly.
Finally, each party to the Blood Covenant is to submit to the other in love. Mutual actions are taken in agape love. Remember agape (Divine love) is obedience to Scripture, selfless motives, standing on our Blood Covenant with God. Submission is a voluntary action done without complaining, or any act of rebellion. Blood Covenant is not a one-way street, but the street is well traveled in both directions. I trust that this has solidified the foundation of what has proceeded in this chapter and adds clarity to all that is to follow on this topic of Blood Covenant.
Let us return to the spilling of the first innocent, willing, and perfect blood as a sin offering.
Genesis 3:21 (KJV)
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. [2]
Here ʾElōhîm (pleural name of God) has instructed Adam and his wife about the Blood Covenant. He covered their bodies – symbolic of the covering previously supplied by the Holy Spirit. Clothing is an ongoing reminder of the shame of sin. Now, I am not advocating nudity. I am just pointing out that we had a wonderful covering, that of God Himself; and now we must go about covered in things from the earth made with our own hands.
The animals in the Garden of Eden were not afraid of mankind. It was not until after the flood of Noah’s time that animals came to fear man (Genesis 9:2). This animal sacrifice for Adam and Eve was most likely an animal they knew and enjoyed in the garden. Now, due to the stench of sin, it is necessary to take that animal’s life so that they could live. Sin brings death all the time. First, sin brought the death of countless animals; multiplied millions of people, then it required the life, the Blood of our Savior. Unrepentant sin brings sickness, disease, and death into our lives (the curse) and our families lives. We find out when Moses codified the law that animal blood sacrifice needed to be repeated annually.
TAKE HOME:
- Additional aspects of Blood Covenant are equal access to assets, law of reciprocity, mutual defense, equal honor, submission one to the other.
- Adam was clothed with the robes of Heaven now we are clothed in things of earth.
- First sin brought the death of an innocent animal and millions to follow. Then came the suffering of multiplied millions all doomed to death. Finally, the life and Blood of God was required for our redemption.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
