IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EXERCISE OUR AUTHORITY THEN GOD BACKS IT UP

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. A short while ago we received a prayer request here at the Ministry that involved people practicing the occult, and demons were wreaking havoc in this person’s life. We responded to that prayer request, but I was also quickened to do a brief teaching concerning Christians and demons. This study will by no means be definitive. This study will give a good foundation for ordering our thoughts concerning demons. You will also come away knowing without a doubt that you have total dominance over demons.
Today I will be moving forward in this discussion of how demons relate to man, saved and unsaved man. Satan or demons rule when we chose to bow our knew to their ways. God rules in our lives the same way. We chose. The devils cannot make us do anything and never have been able. God certainly could but has chosen not too giving us free will. Remember love (agapē/Agapaō) cannot exist independent of free will. God desires for us to love Him just as we crave the love of others. We cannot make another love us nor should we ever try. That would be witchcraft which is the demons playbook. They chose. God leads with Truth; the demons lead with lies. One makes free, the other makes bondage. Our authority is released by words and backed by Power in the case of the Kingdom of God. It is the same principle in the world system. Let’s look at a few verses establishing our authority in the earth. God, nor the devils for that matter, have no authority to do anything in the earth without a willing vessel (you or me) giving permission.
Genesis 1:26 (AMP)
26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
Did you notice the phrase “over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth”? Devils creep upon the earth. We, you and me, have authority concerning everything on the earth. When we speak in faith powered of love (agapē/Agapaō) the Power of God backs it up. Anyone who would submit to God had the Blessing backing them up, before and after the fall. They could live in the provision of God, the seventh day, as Adam was intended to live forever. Let’s look at another verse telling us that we have the delegated authority of God in the earth. God does not have it, He gave it, not shared it.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Once again full authority was restored to rule in the earth as gods according to the will of God. We rule by the words of our mouth in faith, in love (agapē/Agapaō), led of the Holy Spirit according to the will of God. In the fall man lost his ability to commune with God and eternal life. The Anointing, the Blessing was available only to a few who were chosen vessels in their time who consecrated themselves to God. Now see what Jesus says.
Matthew 16:19 (KJV)
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
This is very much like the following verse.
Mark 11:23 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
When we speak to bind a thing Heaven backs us up, when we loose a thing likewise Heaven backs us up. This is not done willy nilly but concerning our areas of jurisdiction.
TAKE HOME:
- It is our responsibility to exercise our authority then God backs it up. He will not and cannot do what our responsibility is to do.
- We have all authority in the earth, and now in Christ Jesus in Heaven, we are the ones that give God jurisdiction in the earth in our area of jurisdiction.
- We have authority over all that falls under our authority as we are under Jesus including demons.
Lord willing, I will resume right here xxxx. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
