Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
1 John 2:10-14 (KJV)
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
Our brother is those of the House of faith, male and female. If we will stay in love (agapē/agapaō) with our brother there will be no place found for stumbling however when we step out of love into darkness, we are fodder for the devil. Remember, we are still talking about verse eleven. Let’s make a quick review of the three major components of love (agapē/agapaō). First is obedience to Scripture, second is a selfless attitude/lifestyle, and third an abiding in Blood Covenant. How do we stay in love?
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (KJV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Concerning our brothers in Christ and all people this how we are to think.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Remember we are not the accusers of the brethren (Revelation 12:10). Come on dear brothers, let’s be doers of the Word.
James 1:21-22 (KJV)
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Our call is to love, love of God and love of our neighbor.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday. Remember the Lord is love, He is light, He is nothing but good, and He cannot lie.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
