GOD IS LOVE AND WE ARE LOVE

Greetings precious saints of God, beloved of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Welcome back to this wonderfully refreshing and enlightening Bible Book of 1st John. The Lord is so good to give us His thoughts, His Words, and His ways that we can walk in them. We know that as we walk in faith according to His thoughts, Words, and ways powered by love that we please Him. Now, let’s go to our primary Bible text in 1st John continuing to read out loud. Reading out loud is very important, it is essential to developing faith and pleasing our Heavenly Father.
1 John 4:7-11 (KJV)
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
The Apostle of love is again talking about love. It is foundational dear ones to our walk with God. That along with light which is revelation of the Word of God (revealed Word) are fundamental to who He is and who we are. As a reminder, love is doing the Scripture and I might add with a willing attitude. This love is selfless like our God, and this love abides or walks in the Blood Covenant. Love can be a noun (agapē) indicating what we are, and can be a verb (agapaō) indicating what we do. Interestingly the noun is feminine in gender and the verb is male in gender. The feminine gender tells us that love is capable of reproducing with the right seed. The right seed is the Word of God. We like God are love and we love, that is do acts of love. Love is a fruit of the spirit, the Holy Spirit and our spirit. Our spirit came from God. Because God is love, He manifested that love towards us by sending His Son that we could live again.
Colossians 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
All is forgiven however we only receive that forgiveness when we do our part and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. At that moment of salvation, the slate is absolutely clean like we never sinned in the eyes of God and we are made alive, we have eternal life. As we meditate our primary Bible text, we find the word “propitiation” in verse ten. We are also told that we love God because He first loved us. He showed that love by sending His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Jesus as our propitiator paid the price in full that we could not pay. The price Jesus paid satisfied the Father purchasing our salvation and restoration to the family of God if we would accept the sacrifice. The Father does not make us receive this extraordinary gift but it is free for the asking.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
