JESUS MINISTERED IN THE EARTH AS A MAN NOT AS GOD

Greetings precious saints of God, beloved of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Welcome back to this wonderfully refreshing and enlightening Bible Book of 1st John. The Lord is so good to give us His thoughts, His Words, and His ways that we can walk in them. We know that as we walk in faith according to His thoughts, Words, and ways powered by love that we please Him. Now, let’s go to our primary Bible text in 1st John continuing to read out loud. Reading out loud is very important, it is essential to developing faith and faith is essential to pleasing our Heavenly Father.
1 John 4:3-6 (KJV)
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Many professing Christians believe that Jesus came as God and operated as God in the earth in spite of an enormous amount of Scriptural evidence to the contrary. I am not convinced that the Apostle John, God speaking through him, is talking about those. It seems to me he is talking about those that deny Jesus as Messiah, as Savior, as the Son of God, repudiating the Truth that He came in the flesh and rose again taking His place as the second person of the Triune God. John goes on to affirm that these deniers are of the antichrist. By the way the antichrist has been in the earth since the beginning, the Day of Sin and Death.
Now comes a verse I suspect that we have all heard many times, at least in part. Before we get there, again he calls us “little children”. Although it is true, I would prefer another term. In the fourth verse, who is the “them” we have overcome? We have overcome the antichrist spirits that deceive and speak through the unsaved. Isn’t it wonderful to know that the One in us, the Holy Spirit, is greater than Satan and his hoards. I don’t think this verse gives us a full idea of proportional difference between Satan and his hoards and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Wisdom, Power, and Presence without end. How can He be compared to very finite created creatures who get all their wisdom, and power from deceiving people. The devil(s) are self-deceived on steroids.
In verse five the Apostle tells us that those of the antichrist are of the world and speak the language of the world not of Heaven. When I say the language of Heaven I am talking about the thoughts, Words, and ways of God which are given to us to receive, prove, believe, doubt not, and do. John then proclaims that we are of God! Now listen carefully to the remainder of verse six. He that know God will hear us, and those that do not know God will not hear us. Those of God will give attention to what we have to say. This is how to distinguish between those operating with the Spirit of Truth and those with the spirit of error. We have all met these people.
