WE ARE SEATED WITH CHRIST “FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY, AND POWER, AND MIGHT, AND DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. A short while ago we received a prayer request here at the Ministry that involved people practicing the occult, and demons were wreaking havoc in this person’s life. We responded to that prayer request, but I was also quickened to do a brief teaching concerning Christians and demons. This study will by no means be definitive. This study will give a good foundation for ordering our thoughts concerning demons. You will also come away knowing without a doubt that you have total dominance over demons.
Demons are under our feet dear ones, far under our feet, not even close unless you allow them to come in close or even submit to their ideas. In the following passage the disciples had just returned to Jesus from a mission trip and are rejoicing because even the devils were subject to them in the name of Jesus. This is Jesus’ response.
Luke 10:18-20 (KJV)
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
The more important thing is to have our names written in Heaven, to be saved, born again. Demons cannot do anything to hurt any of us when we operate in our God given authority. Read Luke 10:19 very carefully, thoughtfully, meditatively. The Biblical Numerology is interesting here. Nineteen is the number of faith, so this will be done in faith, that is being fully persuaded of the Word of God. Ten is the number of responsibility. We are responsible for doing this, not God. God will allow what we allow, and He will disallow what we disallow (Matthew 16:19, 18:18). Let’s move forward examining again the position of demons and all created beings relative to us and to God. Sometimes it seems like people believe they are inferior to demons, and it is up to God to initiate the rescue. Other times it seems that people put the devil on a par with God and it is a struggle for God. Give me a break!
Ephesians 1:19-23 (KJV)
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
The same Power that raised Jesus from the dead, the Resurrection, is the same power at work in us and also raised us from the dead. We are experiencing the same resurrection as Christ Jesus. Notice that Jesus is seated “Far above” all, not only now but forever. Who is seated with Him in the same seat of authority? Who else is seated, not standing or rushing about frantically, with Him? Jesus is the Head, and we are His body, His arms and feet in the Kingdom of God, in the earth. We are indeed the fulness of Him. We are far above all now and forever so long as we keep Him as our Head.
TAKE HOME:
- Remember who you are and your position in Christ Jesus. We are seated, seated dear ones, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:” What does “all” mean?
- Do we believe He has given us the “power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
- Remember we are made just a little lower than God Himself (Themselves). We walk in this confidently not arrogantly for that is pride, the sin of Lucifer.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
